TASTING NOTE: White gold with greenish reflections. Bright, floral and pure. Aromas of flowers, peach and apricot developing to citronella notes and a touch of butter. The palate is complex and fresh with lovely elegance and a mineral finish.

SHORT HISTORY: The Gautheron family has been cultivating vines in Chablis for five generations. The current head of the Domaine Alain Gautheron who works alongside his son, Cyril, in an effort to carry on the family’s traditions.

(MICRO)CLIMATE: cooler than the rest of Burgundy. Continental climate – warm summers and cold winters, often with sudden frosts as late as April or May

TERROIR: Kimmeridgean Clay. The vines are 15-56 years old and are planted on slopes facing north-north east.

VITICULTURE: The Gautheron family are engaged in conversion to organic viticulture. They embrace a philosophy of respect for terroir and the environment. Reducing the use of chemicals, working the soil, stimulating the natural defences of the vine and working by hand.
