TASTING NOTE: Pale yellow, medium-bodied, delicately floral and also grapey nose with a suggestion of apples and pears, clean fruity palate with a lovely buttery and marzipan texture, clean orchard fruit finish.

SHORT HISTORY: Andre Scherer, from the eighth generation of the family, succeeded his father, Armand, and developed the domaine with his wife, who also comes from an old winemaking family.
Nowadays it is his son, Christophe, who runs the estate after completing his viticulture and oenology studies in Burgundy.
(MICRO)CLIMATE: Sheltered from an oceanic influence by the Vosges Mountains, Alsace has a continental climate being both warm and dry which helps the ripening of the grapes. The micro-climate at the foot of the Trois- Chateaux, in Colmar, has particularly low rainfall.
TERROIR: Clay and limestone, on slopes exposed to the south/ south-east.
